Valentine’s Day was a bit of a bust in our household. Well not for Chris and I, we had a great day, more Henry who’s suffering from his 4th ear infection in a year (although I’m convinced he’s had at least 5). I had to stay home with him on Valentine’s day, thus taking another day of annual year (and I have to take tomorrow off as well due to family day). My plan was originally to go to the LCBO downtown and get Chris some fancy looking beers however that went south when I didn’t go to work on Thursday. Since I was at home, I decided I’d check out “bieres du monde” in Aylmer. It’s a beer store in the Aylmer mall that sells all Quebec microbrewed beer. Well that plan went out the window when Henry decided to take a 4 hour nap, thus killing any possibility of making it to Aylmer and back before Chris got home. So I ended up going to the local LCBO and Henry helped me pick out neat beers. We then went to the Sippy Cup Cafe and picked up a gift card for Chris from Henry. When Chris got home, he opened his gifts and loved all of them. Chris and Henry got me a gift card to the Brookstreet spa, which I’ve been dying to go to. I can’t wait to book some spa time.
We decided to wait until Friday to have a nice meal and ate way to much raclette. What is it about raclette or fondue that you tend to overeat?

We were treated to a nice imaginary meal from Henry consisting of plastic bowls, a cork trivet, a lens cap and a Newfoundland fridge magnet.
